71 px-10?

I saw some more pics and the restoration looks nice. Is it really a PX-10? The guy has a miss mash of parts on it and it is a hair small for me, but if I can talk him down I may be interested for the frame, fork and saddle alone. What say you Peugeot knowing type stuff guys?

PX-10, yes; the frame looks right, with chromed fork ends and chrome on the rear dropouts and stays; correct fork crown; Nervex lugs; etc. As for the date, I don't know; as for condition, even less. New paint and decals could mask any number of defects.

It is a beautiful bike - but I have a hard time reckoning the price tag, given that it is a repaint.

The dude already said he'd haggle on the price. I'm not planning on paying that price.

The lugs look like those on mid 70s PR10L. If it is a repaint, could the rear stays been partially chromed?

Some PX's have those lugs.

I think it's likely a bit later than 1971, given the lugs. They come in about 1972. Hard to tell, since it is a repaint. If he's dating it off the serial number, they're horribly inaccurate (as in no worth whatsoever for dating purposes).

Price is okay, if you intend it as a rider. I'd still bargain.
