Aluminum Univega?

I tried google, and this site and can't find much of anything about an aluminum Univega. I'm fairly interested in this bike, but i want to know more about it. It's a crappy CL ad, with crappy pics, but i'm hoping you smart folks can help me nail it down. It looks pretty nice, and about my size too. Is the seller confused somehow, and it's actually steel? This may or may not be C&V, but this is where i usually post, and this is the only thread like this i know of so pardon me if i am misguided.

I can't tell you anything about Aluminum Univegas, but if I were you I would check it out in person without delay.

-It wouldn't be the first time a seller was confused.

It's Alumimum, late 80s, early 90s.

in this picture:

you can see the word "Aluminum" in red next to Univega. Other models of that era had the word "Cromoly" there. TIG Welded frame

Did you make the offer in person, with cash in hand, or by email?

I for one IGNORE all email offers. Most emailers never show up, so I don't waste time on their offers. I just delete them, or at best, will tell them to come in person to make an offer.

If you want to make a deal, in person with cash in hand will get you the best deal. I have used that method myself in several bike purchases, and got some pretty nice deals.

Some "TLC" can mean just about anything, and often means the bike is in pretty poor shape.

Probably a Nuovotech 450. Aluminum bonded (glued) to steel. I had one. Tight ride.
