what would you do (mid 90s competition)
so i picked up this bike mid summer last year from the original owner. the guy said he had ridden it for two seasons before life took over and he no longer had time for cycling (what ever that means). i road it about 50 miles last year and gave it new bar tape and tires. it has full tricolor shimano 600, mavic rims & hubs and everything is in excelent condition. Well over the winter i picked up more bikes then i can ride and i am thinking about letting this one go if the price is right. what i cant decide is weather to sell complete or to part it out. i also really like the components and wheels and was thinking about keeping them and rebuilding the frame with some lesser stuff i have laying around.
so if it was yours, and you decided it was going to go what would you do?

You would probably do better parting it out, if you have the time/tools/interest in doing so. Tricolor stuff is pretty marketable (think ebay). And if you had access to a lower but good group, say 105, I would consider rebuilding it and selling it whole. Or if you are comfortable with ebay, the frameset would probably sell well there. Local buyers around here tend to want complete bikes in ready to ride condition, and do not show much interest in nice framesets. Maybe you are in a better market.
All of your links above just give me an error message. Best thing for pics is to use a hosting site, photobucket or flickr are two common ones (I use flickr, as it links to my yahoo email account). Keep the number and size of the pics to a reasonable limit, and it is free. Or open a second account if you run out of space...

what did you do with this finally? with what results?
I am interested because I have a number of older bikes (though with downtube shifters) that I have to either part out or sell whole. my sense is that there is more money for the parts (especially if the frame is not in excellent condition.)
