Concorde Road Bike - Unknown Year
Anyone know much about this brand Concorde's road bike? I find one in my area and the guy is asking for $140. From what it looks like, with chrome fork, down tube shifter, nice frame stickers seems like it's fine bike to me. Though I have no background, knowledge on this brand at all.
Can someone please tell me if this is even a decent bike or not.

Grab it and ask questions later
Late 80s, Italian, probably Columbus frameset and what it looks like a 600EX group with older brake levers and the hubs look Campy from here.
Edit: (since you asked about the Concorde brand) Concorde was a Dutch bike company that assembled bikes using Italian frames made by Ciocc.

Cool! Just called the seller (he sounds like one Italian too) and said it's still available. Let me run out and grab it home now!

Asian made aluminum PDM replica bikes are making a resurgence around here. Fond remembrance of better times. Available at surprisingly low prices.
This Veloce laden unit goes for under €800. Note the non integrated head/steerer and number plate tab.

+3, buy it. I don't think that's one of the high end (eg SLX, TSX) Concorde's but even their more modest offerings are well worth the $140.

there were some built of Aelle tubing, this could be one of those, still worth more than $140. Later still they used Japanese frames, but I don't think this is one.

I am back. Can I say I am surprised or shocked, the whole bike has Shimano 105 group set on it, the wheel hub, the crank, the brake set, the clipless pedals, etc. I really not sure what kind of tubing or how much it really worths, but just the group set I can tell it should be decent. The bike size isn't perfect as I am a tall dude and very hard to find a perfect match in 2nd hand market. Still I know its a bit small but I can compromise with that.
Beside some rust and dirt, everything works great. Did I just pick up a hidden gem? I can't find any model name or word on the frame beside it's brand name Concorde.

The SL code translates to 1995, but that bike does not look like a 1995 model. I think you may have read one of the Shimano decals on the side of the housing. Those components look like a late 80s very early 90s 105. Check the back of the two derailers. There should be a two letter date code in very small print. That should tell you the year of the bike. If you want to check yourself, we all use the vintage-trek.com website to decode component date codes.

Those are Shimano SLX 105 brakes (and you are reading the SLx). The code should be engraved with small letters close to the part number (on the other side of the brakes). Part number for those is BR-105x. Look for that and there will be a 2 letter code close to it. 26.8 could be a lot of things (including SL, SP, Cromor and Aelle; and I know that there will be doubters of this statement, but I will point them out to the seat post size of the Tenax -see: SL/SP- Schwinns ) These brakes (if original and there is no reason to believe they are not) make it '87+ . Another easy place to look for those 2 letter codes is the back of the crank arms.

I found it. KH on the brake and KG on the crank arm. According to the vintage trek website, seems like it's a 1986 year model. But I still can't tell what model of Concorde is this though. Also I'll need to take off the tire and tube to find out what kind of wheel is that because they seem like some custom wheels to me.
It's all luck to find a bike like this with this low price. I agree, it's almost impossible to find a great deal on road bike in the Toronto market. I wish this bike is a bit bigger like 60cm (it's a 56). Oh well this is still a decent bike regardless.
Here are the quick shots I took tonight. Got the bike some new bar tape and shine up a bit.

It has the same paint as my ex-PDM Squadra. There are some differences though: chrome for tail on mine, no triangular cut outs in the lugs for mine, 27.2 diameter seatpost for mine.... My frame uses SL. It has a Cinelli spoiler bb shell. It could be yours is the replica. Still a nice bike of course.

Nice looking bike great deal. glad you fixed the stem straight away.
SLX? SL? 105 brakes, isn't that SLR for 'Shimano Linear Response' from when they first started to lighten the springs and make the levers return smoother?
it is possible it does not have a model and was bought as a frame and bike kit chosen by the original owner

Take some photos of it against a white garage door and sell it for $400
I bet that if you put up a "Want to trade" ad, you could find something nice in a 60cm size.

You're right all I need is a white garage door shot. I'll ride it for a bit and if I really can't compromise the smaller frame size then I'll post a Want to Trade ad, what you said.
