Peugeot?

Would it be worth buying at this price then trying to flip? or I might keep it for my little brother if it fits him... either way, is it a good deal? Also, can anyone tell me what model it is? |
That bike is absolutely in no way a track bike. Limited flip potential (assuming you want to make good money flipping it). Lousy picture, looks like a UO8 or similar (bottom end Peugeot).
Bike is probably worth the price, but not as a flip. And it is not rare at all. There are millions of them out there (I have two myself right now). |
Cool, that's all I wanted to know. Thanks a bunch.

+1 that's probably the fair market price (maybe $20-30 under fair market price.) Decent if you want to ride, not so much if you want to flip it.

I'm wondering how a guy 6'3" could ride that bike with the seat where it is. Looks to be about a 52cm bike -- how could someone 6'3" ride it at all? Maybe on a dare, but Jeez, that's a tiny bike for somebody over 6'.

If Facebook didn't want to know everything about me I'd correct the listing for this guy.
It looks to be a UO8 or a variant in rather good to excellent condition and is not a track bike but a tourer... the asking price is quite good and the frame appears to be 52-54cm so would fit someone who was five foot eight to about five foot ten depending on leg length. These have relatively high bottom brackets so the stand over is a little higher than comparable bikes so one might ride a size down from what they normally prefer if stand over is an issue. Upgrading to 700c wheel would lower the stand over a little and really improve the overall performance of the bike as it would shed a lot of weight and improve the braking. Decent entry level alloy wheels might run $80.00 - 100.00 a set. |
+1 to what everyone above me said.

I think I'll just wait on buying my brother a bike lol.
