Marioni Special with Columbus Max
Another valutation question on just the frame and fork of this Marioni Special with Columbus Max. Paint is completely flawless, bike hardly looks like its ever been riden. Pictured with a Super Record 8speed group, but its not coming with that set-up, but instead the frame, fork, headset and seatpost.
What is this one worth? Thanks!

WOW a lugged MAX. that is nice looking. if I had the cash available for one in mine size that little used I may be tempted to pay way too much. maybe over $500. I am sure you know MAX frames are rather rare, and I think most are either Mercxx or Bianchi.

Sweet bike. You can really see the variations in the shape of the tubing. Merckx Max frames can go for over $1k in good shape. I agree with BGirl, seems like this should fetch at least $500 and would be a good way to get into a Max frame without paying the premium of another brand. Let us know what happens. Looks cool with the 8 speed Record.

That is a Marinoni and C-record or corsa record or even just record, but not super record.
I think $500 would be the min. I'd take for that frame. It's pretty unique and better built than any large production italian bike of the period. You know Guiseppe brazed it himself. I would say $800 is even reasonable, but as always it's a matter of finding the right buyer. Were it my size you'd have a OM with an offer of $500 right now.

For once I agree with the estimates posted here and you should not forget that the headset and seat post do add quite a bit on top of the $500 estimate. In perfect or near perfect shape add $250 for these two items.
