1960's Western Flyer
About a year ago, I found a 1960's western flyer boy's bike at a flea market and have had trouble finding out any more than that. I am curries about what it is worth and any thing else I can find out about it. Any help would be appreciated. I will upload pictures of it in a future post. Thank you.

My last new bike I bought as a teenager , in about 1963 , was a Western Auto. Most were basic good bikes, made by Murray, usually. Not many have very much collector value, but please post pix.

My first big boy bike was a red Western Flyer in 1961. Good old Western Auto. Parents bought my archery stuff there too.
Do they still exist? |
I had one of those too! I am guessing from about 1963 or 64 because it had a speedometer and I remember riding it down the 'hill' (ie slight incline) our street was on and hitting 40mph. I am saying I remember that and I was maybe 8 years old...I'm not saying it really happened that way. I also recall that when the StingRay came out the Western Flyer looked pretty lame by comparison.
