1985 Schwinn Traveler

IMG00305..jpgIMG00304..jpgIMG00306..jpg

I have this mostly original 1985 Schwinn Traveler: Double Butted 4130, Suntour AR Derailleurs, Dia Compe Side pull with turkey levers, Weinmann Alloy Rims, and weighs in at about 26 lbs. Only thing not original is the low end Selle saddle that I threw on. It's a great rider as I've taken it on several 30+ mile rides since I picked it up this spring. Paint on one side has some major scuffs and scratches, but all stickers (including bike shop where purchased) are intact.

I hate to sell it, but the standover (29.5 inches) is about 1" too high for me. What should I ask in Central PA. on Craigslist?

Thanks-Matt

Need a pic of the paint damage. Can you carefully touch it up? Around here, significant paint damage would kill the valuation.

As long as the paint damage isn't too bad, I'd say around $125 in my market. I'd definitely raise the seat up and check to see that the stem isn't raised above minimum insertion point before listing it though.

I don't have a picture of the paint damage on the left side. I could touch up, but may just sell as is for $100. Thanks for the feedback!

I have an 80's Schwinn Varsity that very heavy also, I believe they do go for about $100 to $125 if the paint is sort of damaged.
