value? 1970's 5 speed Baycrest Tornado

hi,
I'm just wondering if my bike has much value? I can't find any information for it online.. I'm assuming the year is early 70's, as there is a decal on it from a 1975 bicycle club..if anyone has any info that'd be awesome

Looks like one of the myriad of department store bikes from that era. Not much value. Many were made by Murray. Looks like it is in really good shape!

Back during the bike boom (late 60s to mid 70s), just about every tire shop, gas station, department store, etc., had their own privately branded bikes. They did not make the bikes of course, they just had Murray and others build bikes for them, then add decals for their "special" brand. A lot of them had foil decals. Contract builders all over the world were making bikes for stores, so you will see them made in Japan, France, Italy, etc.

I had a JC Penneys 3 speed that looked very similar to that bike, and was made by Murray as I recall.

Well whatever he has it's not an American bike. So it's probably a semi decent machine.

Even so, because it is a girl's bike it's not going to be worth much. $100 tops if everything is nice.

.
I've seen some semi decent American bikes like Schwinn, Trek, Cannondale, Lemond, KHS, and even a couple Ross, Murphy, Huffy and Free Spirit...
This one is not close to those
