Schwinn Qualifier - what is it? is it worth anything?
I came across this today.....



and thought it would be a cool bike for my son to have fun with for a while...but i was wondering what is this bike? it looks like a BMX time trial bike or something....20" wheels, 5 speed, tallish frame that would fit an adult...is it worth anything?

The Schwinn Qualifier along with the Haro Dart, was a BMX Formula 1 bike built for street lot racing. It can make a serviceable mini velo in spite of the aggro frame geometry. An apehanger style bar will get the bars up to a comfortable height. Its a fun little bike for an adult to ride. Schwinn and Haro never found the intended market for them so only a few hundred of these bikes were ever made.
