Would you buy this bike?
I know the price is no bargain, but I'm curious as to whether it can even be considered a "good deal"

I'm not a Pinarello expert, but for NYC that doesn't seem like a bad deal. If it fits you and you just want some vintage steel right now, you could do oh so much worse. the one thing in the ad is that besides mentioning the Sante levers, he doesn't say what kind of Shimano drivetrain...but the rest of the bike seems decent enough.

Moving to "What's it Worth" for better response.

Considering that seller used words like:
"Italian hand-crafted"
"Ridden less than..."
"Pristine condition."
"No dents, dings, nicks, or scratches."
"Paint is original beautiful, black metallic with a full clear coat.''
"Rare Shimano"... he actually said *rare*
I 'm pretty sure that we could not come to a price that would suit us both. Im starting at 40% of his asking, right off. He'd get insulted, we'd go to shouting and it's over.

I am not a Pinarello expert but it does seem a bit high then again this is NYC. which Dedacca tubing and is the Stevelo a low end model frame? he does mention Sante, OH excuse me, the "rare Sante pearl white brake levers" but then just says shimano components. which ones? do I spy Modolo calipers? what are the hubs?
