(Non-Vintage) 2009 Masi Speciale 105

I know it's not vintage, but I figured the appraisals section was the right place for this.
I have the opportunity to buy the 2009 Masi Speciale seen here:
https://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...iale&Type=bike
for $1300 new from a LBS.

Is this a good deal? I feel like it is, but I've never bought a bike for this much. I've been slowly upgrading over the last few years as I've made sure that I'm serious about riding.

My idea for this bike is to use it on everything over 40-50 miles and as a regular charity riding rig for a long, long time. Ideally, this is the last bike I have to buy. As I'm not racing or anything, I think this is reasonable.

Thoughts?

1300 for a new 105 bike does not sound bad. I wonder about the website though, threre is no model listed nor actual frame materiel. Reynolds? Dedacca? something custome for Masi?

Here is this year's specs, if it helps: https://www.masibikes.com/steel/speciale/
"Masi double butted 4130 chromoly steel and Masi lugged chromoly steel fork" I'd imagine it's the same as the 2009.

I think you need to compare the size of this deal in physical terms compared to what size you should be on. The current Masi line-up does not provide a good fit for me and I am average in height, a bit more or less and I would be happy. They jump from a 54.5cm top tube to a 56.5 cm Hello?

I will say my concern is the same with a number of mfgs. though.
