Vintage Bianchi identification and price thoughts

Hey!

I could need help identifying this vintage Bianchi i'm thinking of buying.

The sticker below the seatpost says something like "Italia sprint - Tubi trafilati in Acciacio Al Carbonio". Carbon tubes??

It has a Gipiemme Dual Sprint crankset and probably Gipiemme seatpost, brakes and such.

Could it be a Bianchi Nuova Racing/Sprint?

The seller wants $160 for it. Fair deal?

Anyone knows how the frame would compare to a Gitane Victorie?

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I'd buy it. Then I'd lower the stem. Tubes are not carbon, they're steel of some sort. I don't think it's top end, but it looks reasonable. Though I would like to see the drive side and assess for damage before plunking down the cash.

The experts (posters other than me) will chime in shortly, but I think this is priced low enough it should be a buy.

Celeste= 50$ premium.

$160 seems good for a early '80s Bianchi. what kind of brakes and derailleurs? can we get better pics?

Dont know about the other components. I'll ask him to take a few more of the gears, brakes and rims, stickers etc. tomorrow.
Anyways i think it could turn out good with some polishing.

Most likely an 1984 Bianchi Nuovo Racing with 3 Columbus tubes.
The derailer and shifters are Campagnolo Nouvo Record.

He had another bidder so now my last bid is $200. But with its campy and gipiemme components, and with some polishing and work on it i could probably sell it for a bit more than that later on.

You're kidding right? Except for the Gipemme crank, it's a very desireable bike, and even the crank ain't bad.

And you're saying you can't tell simply by lookin at the frame that it's steel, not carbon? I can all the way over here in south jersey! I'm wondering if we're being scammed.

Tubi trafilati in Acciacio Al Carbonio: "Butted tubes carbon steel" but I honestly wouldn't think they are high carbon plain steel.

I think perhaps there was just some communication issue here. perhaps Poguemahone thought the OP was asking if the tubes were Carbon fiber
