Need help identifying the year of this Bianchi Strada LX

Hey everyone,

I have looked all over the web to find out what year this specific Bianch Strada is, but to no avail. I am assuming between 1986-1989. Any help would be appreciated. The only picture I found that looks EXACTLY like my bike is here:

http://velospace.org/node/4423

The specs on this bike are pretty much the same exact thing as mine.

Thanks.

I am fairly certain that this is a '89 Stade LX. I'll double check later. so you bike is a SS and nolonger stock?

No no, mine is completely stock and not a SS. It still has the BioPace on it and everything, 10 speed. I do not plan on converting it. I bought it for about $150 and am not sure exactly where it was made. I know it is CroMo, but it also says Hi-Tensile on the frame so.

Completely stock? Great, just look up the component codes at the vintage Trek site.

if it is blue with that style decal and Shimano components it is an '89. it was made in japan or tiawan. the frame is likely a mix 3 main tubes chromoly with a Hiten rear triangle.

10spd?

Okay, I take that back Bianchigirl, it is a 12 speed. Sorry about that. Would you say the frame is of decent quality?

I would say it is a decent frame it is simply listed as Tange Chromoly, round/oval/round racing stays. it does not actually say the stays are ChroMoly, but the fork is definitely HiTen steel that would be the weak link.

if the bike is stock and clean and running it should be a great bike for riding about the neighborhood or some midpaced club rides.
