Schwinn Madison
I stopped by one of the LBS in my area (not my usual shop) and hanging in the front window was a white Schwinn Madison. Tubing was Columbus Tenax, it looked to be in decent shape but, the paint was a bit dirty and there was a 1cmx2.5cm dent/crease on the drive side TT. It had Sugino cranks and someone had put diacompe brakes on it and the shop had just assembled a new set of wheels for it (black semi aero). He's asking $500 for it. I'm not really in the market for a "track" bike but, it's kind of neat but then again I can find a lot of neat for $500. Is he off his mark w/ the price? I have no pictures unfortunately.

Yes, he is too high. And as a LBS, he might just get it.
The fact that it has frame damage is the biggest negative.

The fact that it had brakes on it turned me off to it. Track bike shouldn't be drilled for brakes, right?

I have the 52cm. It says Chicago Schwinn but they were all made in the Greenville, Mississippi plant. I believe the last US made Schwinn.
