Pinarello - 58cm - vintage olympic edition - no idea what its worth

I have what looks like a great vintage frame and some misc. parts. It's a pinarello olympic edition 58cm frame. Will need a new fork, crankset, and front wheel. Supposedly the derailer is of good quality. I'm not a bike expert, a very kind, bike-minded friend built it for me. Just trying to see how much something like this is worth?

Would be grateful for any feedback!

why does it need a new fork, crankset and front wheel? if your friend is selling it to you it should be ready to ride before you buy it.

if I were buying it in "as is" condition I would not pay more than $150 to $200 for it. a decent quality chrome fork will cost me atleast $150, new wheel $100+ cranks another $75+

Needs new fork = probably wrecked bike.

+1 Since your friend knows bikes, he will be able to sort it out a lot easier than you.

+1 That's a lot of needs on your list. If you were a seasoned bike mechanic, I'd say go for it. But as someone new to vintage bikes, I would look for something ready to ride.

Those decals are in really poor shape.

To someone who is not a mechanic, and does not have a stash of parts, I would put its value at nothing. To someone with the time/tools/skills/interest/space/parts, it would have value similar to BG above.

If it needs a fork because its bent, major decline in worth. If it needs it because it's rusted badly less of a problem, but still hurts value.
The way this bike sits right now, it would be worth more as a frame set than whole, while the parts do have some value, but not on this frame to recreate an LA Olympiad winner. I saw that race, great fun to watch, Alexi was riding beyond his category and pulled it off. The trashed transfers are a problem, but the original paint in this style is worth something. If the fork is restorable, $300 for the frame and restorable fork. $250 for the bike as it sits.
