90's Bianchi Eros information/value?

I picked up a Bianchi Eros at a local yardsale for 15 bucks and started cleaning off the dirt and gunk only to find a pretty much perfect condition bike. Being my first road bike (tend to stick to old Schwinn cruisers and hybrids) I was excited to take it out. Then heart break set in im 5'7 and the frame is 58-59 cm, making it a bit too big for this shorty :-(

So I figured id try and get some more information on it and sell it and try and get a new road bike (took it out and the speed made me fall in love with road bikes).

All the decals are there from the looks of it and all are in good condition except a small nick in the eros decal. Only rust on the bike seem to be the screws that hold in the water bottle holders and im sure they can be replaced/cleaned up.

Paint is in good condition except for a couple dings around the seat clamp.

Made in japan and has all original suntour radius parts. I believe its from the earlier 90s but I couldn't swear to it.

Has a made in japan sticker.

So any information and ideas of what its worth would be of great help.

nice bike and great deal! $15 for that is a bit of steal, depending on your market I bet if you clean it super good oyu can easily get $150 to $200 for it.

lets see it has Suntour Radius right? that and the white make it a '90 the first model year for the Eros. I beleive this was the only year it came with the double, starting in '91 it featured a triple make it a sport tourer.

too bad it it is too big

Thanks for the information. I suppose ill continue to clean it up and put it on craigslist eventually. Hopefully I can get a good enough chunk to help pay for some sort of used touring bike. Nothing else working on it and cleaning it up has given me some knowledge on this sort of bike and I guess you cant put a price on that right?

yes you cetainly can. you have to start somewhere learning to work on bike and this is a great start. where do you live? a few members here have a great hobby as resellers and perhaps they can help you turn that great find into something equally nice that fits you.

I live in California near Bakersfield. Land of empty country roads and goat head stickers.
