72' Mink Blue...........

So I inherited a giant Raleigh Pro(biggest frame they made....25" I think).........well used but mostly intact..........My Uncle was 6'4", I'm 6'1.5" and it's riding up my nads.............plus it's a Ferrari and I'm a VW kinda guy......

So here's the deal.......I did the rookie move and delaced my wheel without removing the Freewheel first..........I know, I know.........stupid............from what I've been reading, his riding style would have made the FWs near impossible to remove even with a laced wheel..............blah, blah, blah................

bottom line............is it worth more all original in a well used state or are there folks that would just want a frameset like this one..........

There must be a really tall guy or smaller daredevil with Pista components lying around out there...........whadiya think?

Without pics of the frame and the components it's not going to be easy to give you an answer about value together or apart.

There are plenty of buyers interested in just the frame & fork, but you'd do well to give it a good cleaning and polishing. By that I don't mean anything more - don't be stripping it or adding touch-up paint, etc.

I hear you..........

I did exactly that.....(Polish, no touch-up paint).............I'll post pics soon............it's the 72' so cursive not block lettering..........looks mint from 15feet away.......10' and you see worn(not chipped)through paint.........3-5feet and you see gouges in the alloy components, blisters in the chrome(very small).........

commuted on it 8 years ago....smooth.......and I used the last of the life of the original sew-up rims... split around eyelets.....fun with michelin slicks though!..................
