ID my old campagnolo (date/model/appraisal?)

I've been trying to date an old campagnolo I received. just curious if anyone could help me out. Although I dont have pictures yet, I have the serial number (71 A 1197) and I know its late 70s. Like I said, pretty sure the frame itself is campagnolo: brake levers, gear shifters, etc. all have either "campagnolo brev" or "campagnolo nuovo record" on them.

appreciate any help as well as how much it may be worth

Umm, let me be the first to jump in here & say that Campagnolo never made frames, just bike parts.

A story is told about a fellow who drove an unbadged Lotus 11 into a gas station. The young attendant, wishing to impress, glanced at a knock-off hub and asked, "What model Undo is this, Mister?"

No help without pics on this one. Like the other poster said, despite your pretty sureness, the frame is not "Campagnolo."

If the frame has a campagnolo sticker on it somewhere, it is referring to the parts, not the frame.

The OP may be refering to the presence of Campagnolo dropouts, as opposed to a sticker. Let's hope so.

It still wouldn't matter - it's not a Campagnolo frame.

but who made the neutral support frames?

Well, not Campagnolo, AFAIK. It would have been many different builders over a long period of time:

I have seen Campagnolo delaced frames show up on ebay from time to time - possibly neutral support bikes, or more likely built as parts hangers for bike shows. They were probably built by folks like Billato, BMZ, etc.

Isn't anyone going to ask the newbie for pictures? Anyway your bike is a 1971 Atala.
