Rossin from 1980's - Do you recognize that one ?
I know pict is bad quality, but this is what the owner sent me. He's asking 175$ or best offer. Is it even worth it? Don't know yet about component, only thing I know is that it has a Turbo saddle and chrome fork.

Do you recognize this bike? Year guess ? Or any catalog available to help?
Thanks !

Really hard to say but at $175 I'd be paying a visit real soon, despite the resin pedals. Almost impossible to identify the components but could be New 105 or 600 Ultegra. Late 1980s or very early 1990s. Based on frame fittings, I'd say mid-range model, probably Cromor.

If only he'd aimed the camera a couple of inches higher, so we could se the tubing decal! I don't recall Rossin building anything less than mid-range and this is one well built frame. Hop in the car ASAP.

Gomango, that is one SCHWEET 2002! I'll trade you all my bikes, my '89 325i, and my firstborn son for it!
Now for the bike... a diamond in the rough, buy it unless it's really screwed up. Looks to be a 56 or 58cm, so you could resell if it doesn't fit you.

The owner finally responded to my email. He told me the bike is Shimano 600 equiped. The chainstay is chrome like the fork. And, according to what he said, the price is very negociable
I'm going to see it on Wednesday.

It's a Rossin. And it's $175. Go buy it. It's a steal. Figure it out AFTER it's in your possession.

Finally got the bike for 120$. It needs a good tune up and clean up. Couple of scratches, but no dents. What do you think?

Considering how long you waited to pull the trigger, you're lucky this one didn't get away. I was just aboput ready to make the trip myself.
56 is almost certainly the frame size, in centimetres, not the serial number. The components are definitely 1988 Shimano 600 Ultegra, as this was their first model year, it doesn't have HyperGlide (which was introduced in 1989) and I was able to pick out some late 1987 date codes. Typically, 600 Ultegra would be found on at least a Cromor frame. Aelle is one step down, so I suspect that this may have been built up from a frameset that is a year or two older than the components. Certainly, the tubing decal style is pre-1988, but they often didn't rotate their stock well at the factory. The frame exhibits very nice features and workmanship for an Aelle frame.
In 1988, Tretubi SL Marinoni with 600 Ultegra were selling for $1000 CDN. This bicycle has a frame with comparable workmanship but lower grade tubes. It would probably have been worth $800-$850 CDN when new. Obviously, you did very well. Congratulations on your new acquisition, Enjoy.
