Raleigh Technium 440--worth $140?
I'm looking for a decent "C&V" era 12-speed to ride around town and on longer trail rides (working towards doing a century).
I found this Technium 440 on CL. It looks to be the right size and seems in temptingly good shape. $139 is the asking price, which seems fair considering the current market:

Anything specific I should look out for? Think I can do better?

Worth it if it is ready to go. Can you do better? Depends how hard/how much time you want to spend looking.

I'd say it is worth the $140. I'm not sure where the Technium is in the line-up, but I would guess it is near the bottom. Still, the bike looks clean.
Make sure you check out the seat stays, where the kickstand is. Frequently, those get crushed due to someone tightening it down too far. Those TT bars don't look very attractive either.

Thanks for the replies.
From what I can see, the bike looks good to go. The TT bars will be removed if I buy it.
I am confident I could find a higher-end bike (Technium 440 is near the bottom of the Technium line, if I'm not mistaken). I am not confident, though, that I can find this much bike for the money, especially in near-new condition. I'll call tomorrow and check it out. Hopefully it's in as nice shape as the seller says it is.

Update: must've been a good deal--a "bike collector" got it while I was at work.
