How much would one in pretty nice condition be worth? All stock except tires and bar tape.

Thanks.
It's a bike I'm thinking of purchasing, as I would think a lot of people posting in this section are posting inquiries of. I can't go take pictures of it.

I was thinking if it's nice and clean I'd offer $200 and then probably sell it to a friend who's looking for a bike for what I paid for it. Otherwise I could just resell it on the local CL for the $200 plus gas used getting the bike, my time, etc. As long as I could break even on it in the end...

I'm not sure what made zero sense. I have a friend looking for her first decent bike, and it's her size. I'd pick it up, let her ride it a few times, and if she wanted it then I'd sell it to her for what I paid for it plus the gas I used to go get it. Otherwise I'd add in some extra cash for my time and sell it on the local CL. I think it would fetch $300 on the Madison CL since everything goes for more here. I've seen plenty of Varsities disappear from our CL in a few days at $75-100.

If the friend is looking for a bike why doesnt the friend just buy it in the first place?? And if you were going to buy the bike to flip on CL just to break even, why would you bother? Thats what i meant by makes no sense. Guess I missed something...

I assume that the friend does not know much about bikes. He can pick it up for the friend and resale if the friend is not interested. Perhaps the friend is unavailable right now.

She knows Nothing about bikes, and this would be her first bike that wasn't a MTB from x-mart. This would giver her a chance to try out a decent bike, get a feel for it, see what she likes and doesn't like about it, etc. If she likes it, she could buy it for what I had invested. If not, I could resell it with no issue since I live in a big time bike city and bikes go quickly at premium prices.

Good grief, if an 86 Club in nice condition is going for that much, what's a really nice Team going for?
