There is a separate discussion on this bike in the main forum. IMHO, it is pretty close to full value already. With over five days left, and multiple bidders already, I would pass. Bike is in super rough condition, so any bidding without in person inspection would be a crapshoot. If you happen to live nearby and can take a look at it, then your in person appraisal would trump anything via the internet. I did not see a single part on that bike in good usable condition.

i agree with the previous thread. that said i think quite a few of us would like to own it but i believe the shipping could be a problem..... third party shipping on that bike.... a shop might not want to spend the time to get it apart with out damage

Because it was submerged in a canal for an undetermined period, this frameset is a huge gamble IMHO. There's really no way to tell how much of the frame is gone without non-destructive ultrasonic testing.

With its history, anyone buying it better plan on it being wall art, not a rider. In the right hands, it could a fun project. Over my head, though. Too bad, though, because I'd love having a spruced up pre-War Paramount adorning a living room wall.
My wife would probably beg to differ, though . . . . and I can't complain, as she is very tolerant of my cycling weirdness.
