Raleigh Gran Prix Ten Speed

Is this a good price? I like the bike, but I am thinking it is a bit much.

I bought one new back then, and they had a list price just over $100. I know nothing about collectible value, though. I do know the one I bought came with a brooks leather seat.

The frame is made of Raleigh 20-30 seamed straight-gauge hi-ten steel. I think you could do much better (at least double-butted 4130 chromoly) for $300.

Not collectible; there's a gadzillion of them around. 300 is over the top. Just my opinion.

Decent, but heavy bike. The owner obviously is a good storyteller. Makes it sound like a really neat treasure!
