PUCH Cavalier - late 70's

Hi,
I would like to solicit replies in terms of how much is this bike worth and/or is it worth tuning up and riding. I just rescued my old ten speed shown here from my parent's basement. My parents bought me this bike when I was a young teen so its 30+ years old. I have never been much of a bike rider, but I am now a marathoner entertaining thoughts of a triathlon. This bike is in great condition for its age - its been kept inside its whole life. Unfortunately I didn't have a big growth spurt so this bike seems to still fit me well. Everything is original except for some upgrades I made around 1990 - Christophe toe clips, Avocet touring saddle (I wish I could find the original suede San Marco saddle) and white grip tape. I haven't ridden it since the early 1990's. Surprisingly I inflated the tires yesterday and they are still holding air.
Is this worth selling and using the proceeds towards a new bike? If not, I am thinking of getting a tune up, new lighter rims & tires and a saddle to get me through my beginner triathlon stage. Please let me know what you think or have any questions. Thanks..

If it still fits and you like it then I'd say tune it up and ride it.

It's a great looking bike!

Thanks - I just dropped it off at the LBS. Tune-up, new rims, wheels and saddle. It does have sentimental value and maybe my son will appreciate it some day.

FYI - just found the original owners manual and receipt. It was purchased in June 1981. 30 years old in 3 months!
