There are a few threads started about these and also quite a few resources online,

But like most people will tell you, pictures help. So if you could post good pics of it for us you will get a lot better response.

Also I really like these bikes and have my eye out for one in my size so I'm interested to see where this thread goes.

Maybe try Sheldon Browns page for a quick idea of value.

That is in pretty good shape. The Masi guys that really know their stuff will probably be able to use these pictures to give you a pretty accurate estimate. Don't take my word for it but my guess would be around 1000, but likely below that, for instance, I'm not sure the brakes or brake levers are original, I'm no expert to begin with and I can't quite make out the exact components, also, the seatpost isn't original, but I understand you needed it to ride since the bike is too small.

If you are thinking of a trade then perhaps check out the "frame doesn't fit" thread in the Classic and Vintage forum. I didn't just now check but there are some good frames and maybe one peaks your interest there.

Nice bike for sure though

thanks a lot and thanks for the advice, im gunna take a look, but ive got the original brakes, brake leavers, pedals, seatpost, and handle bar extension, i just picked the seatpost and handlebar extension up from the store recently because the originals were way too small for me, as for the other stuff, theyre all in a box i dont know why my dad had the weinmann brakes on there and not the original campys but the campys are in practically unused shape lol
ill definitely check out the frame doesnt fit thread
thanks again

It might be worth posting on the C&V forum with some sort of apology because it's not suppose to be there. However, IMO these high-end Italian appraisals require the services of a very small cliche of experienced eyes that don't hang out on the C&V Appraisal forum. It's still a mystery to me why you can hang a nice component group on a Tange 1 or 531 and it might sell for 700, but hang that same group on an Italian SLX frame with a nice paint job, and it's worth 1700-2700.

FWIW, I like Masi and your bike. Are you sure it's an '82? Something about that seat tube lug that has me thinking of something else. Probably nothing tho.
