Worth of a JC Higgins roadster?

Hey guys,
Found a JC Higgins Roadster locally... its in rough mechanical shape right now... but should be able to make her ride again with a little arm grease and tinkering...

They want $50 for it firm... I'll put not more more than my time into it and turn it back into a nice rideable bike...

The old JC Higgins chainwheel really intrigues me and makes me what to think its something special...

whats it worth to flip?

Looks identical to this (except the fenders on the one I'm looking at are missing):

Thanks!

Mike

It really depends on your area - as far as resale value goes. Maybe $125 in my area, if it has been serviced.

JC Higgins is a department store brand (Sears), many were built by Murray, and would have little interest around here. Without a picture of the actual bike, no idea. But not a lot of value. As a bike to flip, it is not worth $50 (at least, if you want to make some money on it). No fenders is a big negative.
