Thinking about picking up this Panasonic DX 2000
I have seen this on CL for a few weeks and I decided I would check out more about it.

It looks like its a 1984 Panasonic DX 2000

It looks like the specs are better this year than other years. It has 105 dt shifters and derailers.

Its $125 for a bike ready to go with new bar tape and tires. I am going to go look at it. I have been wanting a dt shifter vintage road bike for a few weeks. Thoughts? Do you think this is a fair price? Stem shifter qualtity bikes go for $75-$95 around here so a few extra bucks for this bike seems pretty good to me.

My first real bike was a 82 dx 4000. A nice bike! My friends 82 dx 2000. Was a super bike also. It retailed at around $200. It was a great value.

OK here is the fun part...pics to follow. I went and looked at the bike tonight. It didn't have the components I was hoping for, but it was a nice riding bike very smooth that didn't need anything so I offered $120 and he accepted. I want to change the seatpost and seatpost bolt to something nicer and of course probably switch out the seat, but I am pretty happy with the bike in general. If something comes along thats better I doubt it will be hard to move it to a new owner. It has nice MKS pedals as well. The guy thought it was too big for me, but it was setup almost perfect except the bars were rotated down too much. Here are some pics. I like the lugs and the crank alot. I had a Panasonic a few years ago that A bought at a thrift store for $10. I lent it to a friend who said he lost. it. I think he was actually telling the truth.
