What are these Bicycle worth ?
I'm a newbie to the whole Road Bikes thing. I'm not looking to spend any more then 200 bucks without repairs included. To be honest, I'm extremely surprised that old vintage Road bikes go for what they go for on Craigslist. I was thinking supercycle, free sprits ccm and the like would be practically given away but people want anywhere from $85 to $200 for them, insane. I can do most repairs and have almost all the tools needed so that might take some of the cost out of it. Anyways without further ado are any of these bikes good value or good plateforms to build off of over a period of time.

I wouldnt mind building a single speed or fixie over a period of time as a project
I put an offer for this frame was wondering if it's worth the hassle.

Thanks for any advice

It is difficult to tell condition from the photographs, but the Centurion would be the best option. The first and second are overpriced. I would avoid the frame unless you can do the work and have the parts (from your description, I highly doubt it). The Centurion is price is fair. I would hurry to see it. Good luck.

Every market is different. Prices are always higher in large cities, but all of those bikes seem overpriced. I wouldn't give a nickle for the bent Peugeot frame.

re: the Peugot
Bent fork and french threading = a giant hassle
I am actually surprised that those bikes are as cheap as they are given the cost of everything in Vancouver. Depending on its condition I don't think that the Centurion is wildly over priced (particularly given saddle it's attached to) but might be a bit high. I think you need to look around Craigslist and try to figure out if you can get anything for a better value in the area.
The Nishiki is definitely not worth that price.
Personally I would go take a look at the Centurion if it is nearby, but I tend to spend a bit more to just get the shopping process over with as fast as possible and get something I want.

Wow! thanks for all the quick responses. What do you guys think is a fair offer for the Centurion, considering the guy is asking more then everyone thinks it's worth. He probably isn't going to take a lowball offer. I was thinking $150.
Here's a few more not to be a nuisance but any help would be appreciated, thanks

Of the three, I like the Benotto. If the condition is good, it is the best of the three (It may be the best one of all the ones that you are considering). The Appollo is less familiar, but the suicide brake levers and stem shifters suggests lesser quality bike. The Bianchi needs work and repairs (I don't like the mismatched components). Once again, good luck!

If its a good bike that fits you and meets your needs then it might be worthwhile paying a bit more money to wrap it up, save yourself time and to avoid the price spike that warmer, dryer weather brings.
