90's Bianchi Road Bike / Celeste w/ Blue Lettering / 105 Group
Hi there, been trying to figure out what year and model this bike could be... going to check it out and would like to know a bit more information before hand. Seller says it's a 90's 54cm frame w/ an all Shimano 105 group. Aluminum wheels and crank set. Frame is celeste green w/ blue lettering on the downtube and a pink logo. Anyone know what year this could be from, what type of tubing on the frame and where it was built? How much it's worth?
Not sure if it is the original owner or if components are original, but could be if it is entirely 105 throughout... I would like to hear your thoughts!

I can't really tell from the picture you sent. Better pics will be needed but the 105 group reminds me of the 88-89 version with the white hoods. I will check my catalogs at home tonight.

I agree the pic is awfull. can you get some better ones? I think judging by the decalit is an '89 model but I need more information, like the type of tubing.

So I just saw the bike, unfortunately forgot to take any close-up pictures but I got the jist of it.
Frame:
-Celeste green frame w/ blue "Bianchi" lettering on downtube and small red triangular logo beside
-Columbus Chromoly tubing on frame and fork (didn't see exacty what type)
-Paint on the frame was pretty scratched up on the rear seat stays... aside from being a bit visually unappealing, no signs of rust or dents
-Vertical dropouts
"Made In Italy" sticker at top of downtube, no pantograph on the fork but stickers where pantograph might have been if it was an older frame
Components:
-Shimano (105?) headset and 105 crank set w/ 105 clipless pedals
-Shimano 105 brakes, brake levers, front + rear deraileurs
-Shimano 105 index shifters
Deraileurs and shifters seem to work fine, brakes not very responsive, one lever had a loose spring
Wheels:
-Exage hubs, didn't see what kind of rims or spokes but there wasn't any rusting on the spokes and rims were aluminum 700c and very thin, maybe 22mm in width, tires in good condition
-Back wheel was true but front wheel was fairly off true, would likely need to fix or replace the front wheel
Seat pretty scraped up
The bike clearly shows a lot of wear and tear, perhaps not very well kept due to the sticky/unresponsive brakes and scratched up paint and seat (unless whoever was riding it was prone to wiping out)
Is this enough information to help form an appraisal? I'm not sure how I feel about it at this point because of the wear...
Owner is asking $280

Hey sorry I wasn't able to get any better pics of the bike, I'm sure that would have made it easier to get an opinion on it... I've since told the seller I wasn't interested.
The bike looked like it at one time was in no doubt in my mind a very decent ride, with all 105 group, Italian-made frame, index shifting and aluminum wheels, however the evident wear and tear put me off.
Anyways thanks for your interest! I aim to be back in and around here some time soon

I believe it may have been an SLX, because the colours and logo are exactly the same as this one here, but not entirely sure.

(was definitely NOT in the same condition as this fine example or else it would have been a no brainer..

that decal was used on several different bikes, SL, SLX, Prestige, CroMor, and some of the Formula Two framesets.
the tubing decal on the bike you posted looks like one of Bianchis special tubesets.
