Georgena Terry Ganbit
I paid $200 for this back in September. I am already thinking of selling it. It was a huge upgrade from my janky old Lotus. I don't know very much about the components on it. Also, replacing the tire on the front wheel has proven to be a headache. I'm curious how much I should sell this for. I am thinking of asking $300 but letting people bargain me down. It's a 46cm, so it would take a very special kind of rider to want it.
It was in minty fresh condition when I got it, now it has a buncha paint dings on it. I've had a few bad wipeouts on it too. I feel kind of bad, like this was not the bike I meant to turn in to a beater. It's probably not that bad, just covered in road dirt I never cleaned off from Winter Commuting.
How much should I be selling it for?

Step 1: Clean it thoroughly.
Step 2: Those blue BMX pedals need to go. Are they plastic? IMHO, you would be better to sell the bike without pedals (and remove them prior to taking the pictures).
Around here,,given it has had a couple of bad wipeouts, and a "buncha paint chips", $200. But you are in New York, so you probably can do quite a bit better.
I've got a really similar Terry Despatch in the project queue right now. Let us know how you do!
I think those 24 inch front tires are readily available on line. At a local shop, probably not.

Yeah. The original pedals with toe clips are in a box somewhere, they're definitely going back on the bike. Thanks!

For the *right rider* that's a very desirable bike. If you feel like putting the effort into cleaning it up, I bet you could get $400 for it. Maybe not, I don't know the components or the condition of course, but Terry fits a very distinct niche in the bike ecosystem, and people who like them REALLY like them. Brooklyn=excellent chance there are buyers for that exact bike. Clean it up, take nice pictures, write up a good description, say you're looking for a good home for it, you'll do great. Actually, please check back and let us know how you did--it's good information to have!

It's actually not a 'bunch of' paint chips, I just have never been so upset about u-lock dings before.
