Tommasini ID Help

I just picked up this frame. It has no specific model name marked, but has a Tommasini panto "Air" fork and a Columbus Brain sticker on the center tube. Front and rear lugs are stamped Tommasini. Any help on IDing the model and age is appreciated. It has lots of paint chips, which reveal the chrome beneath. I'm hopeful to build with 10 spd Chorus and ride.

Wow, what a find.

Built my 94 Sintesi with 10 speed Chorus as well.

Yours could be a Sintesi or a Tecno.

Contact is: info@tommasini.it

They are great about responding.

Here are some pics of my Sintesi before the tear down for Campy bits.

I'd guess this frame is about the same age as yours, but Brain tubing, or at least the decal says Brain? It has no name anywhere and number hangar for whatever that is worth. I really like your paint and all the chrome. Thanks again for the info, I'll contact the company and see if they can provice some info.

You're welcome.

Have a serial number handy for them as well, and include your fotos.

Mine was built from SLX New, not Brain.

I wish I could recall the explanation I received from a gentleman at the Tommasini booth at NAHBS. About SLX NEW that is.

I'd love to see yours built. I can't think of a better gruppo than Chorus.

Certainly seems like the sweet spot in their lineup, especially since we lost the 2009 Centaur features.

Have fun with that beauty!!

I also have a tommasini... super prestige. I'm working on building it up with Campy chorus 9 speed group... I've got a line on a good value 9 speed group I think.

Here is a link to the thread discussing my tommasini... has a few small pictures.

I'm still working on getting parts for it build so it remains as it did when I bought it... but with high hopes of completing it this summer.
