Is this a Schwinn Paramount?

The seller claims it is a Schwinn Paramount that he has repainted. He says it was originally red.
What do you guys think? And what would you say is a ballpark figure for it? It needs a chain and a derailleur cable and looks like some bar wrap.
If I buy I plan on installing components I already have, so I would be mostly buying this bike for the frame set and selling the parts I don't want.
Thanks!

Yep, looks like a late 80s or early 90's Waterford Paramount with an OS tubeset.

A repaint probably means it's been ridden hard (could also suggest more nefarious things, but I won't go there), so be careful to check structural integrity.

Maybe a few hundred? More if the paint is good quality, less if it needs a repaint.

Dunno if you can say it is a Waterford... I think it is probably a PDG Series.

norskagent's Paramount OS

PDG Series 7

tugrul is probably right. As Scooper suggested in the other thread, get the S/N.

Some PDG's were made in Waterford, others, particularly later editions were Japanese. I had a Schwinn Paramount PDG 30 mountain bike that was Japanese, and it was gorgeous. Not a scratch on the 1982 frame, but alas it was too small for me. Got a nice price for it though.
