neat little bike. I think they came out in the late '60s early '70s.

I had a Sears version called the Spyder 5. It was orange and black w/ a wide slick in the rear, lots of chrome w/ fenders.

Nice muscle bike... there is a good collectors market for these bikes and yours looks like it is in great original condition. I would clean it up a bit and replace the tube. Value is hard to say... I poked around ebay and the web and didn't find any comparable bike for sale but did find raleigh rodeo parts for sale. Are you looking to sell it or just figure out the value? My guess is a collector would pay pretty good money for that bike... you just have to find a collector. Good luck

There's a date on the rear hub, something like 68 12 which would mean December 1968 and should correspond, approximately, to the date of the bike.
That hub, a Sturmey Archer 5 speed, is highly desirable, which should bump up the price. But I don't know what collectors pay for those.

If I remember correctly this was before the Chopper. Nobody had one, or if they did they did not show up in public with it. Value is tough, to someone who wants if for a historical collection, no more than $100.

I'd fix it up and give it to a kid that really needed a bike, along with a bike chain and lock. Nice bike!

I have this EXACT same bicycle (color and all) that I am restoring now. Still hunting down a few parts, but it's an early to mid 60's Raleigh Rodeo. The value of these things are always just what somebody is willing to pay. The fact that it is so clean and all your decals are in tact is one thing. The fact that it's a boys bike is another. Boys bikes are more rare, especially in this condition, because guys always beat the heck out of their bikes. Yours is in amazing condition. The fenders and chain guard look like they don't have a dent in them. With all this being said, you could see this thing sell from anywhere between a couple hundred, maybe even more. It's definitely a rare bike.
If you don't mind, could you look under the seat and tell me where it was made? I'm trying to match a seat for mine. Thank you!
