Here's the story. In the late 1970's or early 1980's, the Italian company, Firenze, produced a road bicycle. This bike was outsourced to Taiwan, who built them.

Thousands of Firenze bikes were then imported into the United States. Once they got here, it turned out they were not up to US code. (Much like Japanese cars cannot be sold in America).

A loophole allowed importers to give the bikes away as opposed to selling them, so these bikes were turned into promotional gifts for electronics and stereos.

The Firenze bicycle is a lot like the DeLorean car: even though it is average quality, few were produced and not many are still in existence, let alone functional. Making this a rare collectable that can provide years of enjoyment because everything on the bike is still in working order. It is a very light bike designed by this Italian manufacturer. Italians in general are well renowned for their craftsmanship, innovation and attention to detail. They produce wonderful and highly sought after road bikes.

Today, the DeLorean is a prized car, much like I prize this fully functional Firenze. I will take $100 or best offer for this Italian designed bike. The bike rides great! I would recommend buying new tubes and tires since aging allows rubber to dry and crack.
