What do you think this frameset is worth? I'm going to buy or trade for it. haven't seen it in person yet but I know seller and he says it's in great shape.

It looks in *really* nice shape. Maybe $200 tops?

I think $250 would be still be quite reasonable. The 7-series bikes go for a lot of money, and not only is this one a red barn bike, but it's very clean as well.

Trek first started making bicycle frames in 1976, in a red barn with a payroll for five and a single product: hand built steel touring frames. Two years later they started offering complete bicycles in addition to the bare frames.
That is one early Trek.

Well it all turned out right. Came home with this frame today from a TINY shop in Claremont run by a great guy named Dale. The frame is beatiful bit of surface rust under the bb but that's it....it's pretty immaculate. Measures out to the mm using the twine method (shown here). Exactly what I was looking for in my size.
I got it as a trade for the frame, bars, stem, brifters, brakes and crank in this picture (not the wheelset, seatpost, saddle or derailleurs, which i kept).
so it was a great trade today!
