Strange bars for way back machine
[B] I received a a box of misc. old, primarily road bike parts recently. My guess is that most of the items were originally from 70s era vintage French road bikes. Any idea what the bars and stem in the photo may have originated on and age? One set appears to be steel with nice chrome finish and has brass pieces near where the stem meets the bars-with early DuraAce levers. The other set of bars and stem are both ITM (Stem alu and bars chromed steel? Do you think anyone would be looking for something just like this? and if so, for what? fixie? old road bike? or are they useless shiny bling at this point?

interesting post. I just got a Bianchi Mixte with similar ITM alloy bars. they have a bit more swept back appearance kind of like a dove bar. I would suspect they are early to mid '80ish uprights and or Mixtes
