what year/model trek?

what year/model trek?
i have this old trek and am having trouble figuring out what it is. i know its 83 or older because of the decals the serial number is IS234001, i found it under the cable guide on the bottom bracket. it doesn't coincide with the serial number decoder at
vintage-trek.com so im confused. i looked at the catalogs and it looks like it may be an 83 400. derailleurs are suntour vx, shifters are suntour, front wheel is super champion with mallard hub, rear is newer. brakes are dia-compe, crankset just says "custom" on the crank arms. tubing is mangaloy 2001 double butted. i have it listed on Craigslist at $250 including new hoods and bartape.
pics are prior to cleaning.

83 400 seems right. Serials are sometimes hard to see. Not sure of the Florida market but a low end Trek for $250 is pricey where I am.

Ridiculous price around here in that condition. Flat tires, bar tape, dirty, etc.
