Pair of 1986 Team Fuji bikes
I have two 1986 Team Fuji bikes in very good conditions that I'm considering selling. Curious what they might be worth. Both are in the Black/Flamingo paint scheme. All original - paint, decals, wheels, frames and components including quill pedals. The only things we replaced were the seats, handlebar wraps, tires and front brake grips. They look similar to the bike on the right:

Without an actual picture it is hard to give exact value. If ready to ride, good tires, lubed etc. I would expect $200 to $250 in the right market. Could be +- as much as $100 depending on condition and market.

I've seen people ask all sorts of high numbers for the Team and Club bikes of this period, and they tend to sit.
I think I'd be patient and try to move them around $275.
But there was somebody on the forum looking for a black flamingo, probably remembers more about the prices they sold for.
What sizes are they?

Thanks for the info! I'm on travel in DC right now, when I get back to MI, I'll post some photos. They've pretty much been in storage for 15 years or more.

If they have been in storage for 15 years, $275 is high. Figure they will need basica maintenance, bearings, grease, tires, tubes and cables. Consumable parts get old, even when in storage. $275 is a strong, ready to ride, pristine, clean price. I sold a super clean, super nice, ready to ride Club for $225, and it took me several months. Every market is different, certainly parts of MI are weaker than mine.

Anyooo...thanks for the feedback. This gives me a place to start. I was actually thinking of placing them on the curb a couple of months ago, but couldn't bring myself to do so. Getting $150+ for them would be nice. We did quite a bit of riding back in the day. Actually, now that we might be settling down in Virginia in a few months, I'm giving serious thought to keeping them. Though at our ages now, it might be quite the challenge.

wrk101 is right, but I think a black flamingo Fuji Team starts getting into collectible territory, and as long as it doesn't look abused or heavily used, it may not matter as much.

I would keep them-change out drops for tour bars if you're not as limber as you used to be.

The Team Fuji has a short wheelbase and steeper angles. Would it feel twitchy and a little unstable with upright bars?
