Need advice on inherited bikes
Hi, I need some help on describing and pricing my bridgestone bicycles. I have many different styles that I know are valuable but just not sure of what they are worth and if all parts are original. The bikes were given to us by my father in law. He is a big bike collector. Some of the bikes are:
Bridgestone MB 0 zip
Bridgestone XO-1
Bridgestone RB-1
Bridgestone MB-2
There are a few more bike in the collection. I am not sure how to post pictures to the forum- I tried and it failed. I can send thru email. Please help.

Wow... I wish my father in law had that bike collection...
were are you located?
There is a good cult following and for good reason... bridgestone made good bikes at the higher end of their line.
I'll be there first to say it... value depends on condition and local market. To give good value estimate we will need pictures... try using a service like photobucket and post the photobucket link into your post.
How are you planning to sell the bikes?
Once you have picture repost in a new thread with Bridgestone in the title... will catch more eyes.

+1 To sell them anywhere near full market price, you are going to need high quality pictures, showing close ups of details and an overall picture taken from the driveside of the bike. Post the pictures here, if you want meaningful feedback.
+1 Use a hosting site for the pictures.
Check ebay completed auctions if you are willing to ship and have good feedback on prior sales.
Where are you located? Trying to sell collectible bikes like some of those around here, is a guarantee to sell way below market. But every market is different.
Part of getting anywhere close to market value is your marketing skills. Preparing a good ad, with great pictures, and accurate details are critical. Fortunately, with a little time on google, you should be able to do all of this.

Are you offering a commission?
It takes work to research and learn about anything. Lots of us have invested both time and money learning about vintage bikes. I'm usually not critical of requests for help, but your approach here is rather bold. You want us to write your ad copy and provide expert research so you can maximize your profit?
You can use Google to learn more. There are Bridgestone catalogs available on the late Sheldon Brown's website.

That is a number of bikes, I am not a devotee of Bridgestone, but size matters for any of these bikes as to the breath of interest. Condition matters much too. These bikes are pretty well documented on the web. As stated earlier, time for homework or time to locate a person to pay and assist you.

Finding info on Bridgestone is super easy to find, thanks to the internet and Google. But if you do not have the time and interest to take quality pictures, clean up the bikes, do some research, and write a great ad, you are not going to get anywhere near full market value. A lot of the value comes from this effort. I buy bikes all the time, and find deals from people that just want them gone, and don't want the hassle of doing this work. The bicycle market is extremely inefficient. There is no simple place where you can just drop them off and get close to market value out of them. I see bikes sit on C/L for days at half of market due to poor preparation and poor marketing. And I have bought bikes on ebay for 25% of market or less due to these same factors.
