Falcon Ernie Clements - 10 speed - Looking for more info

I recently purchased a bicycle from craigslist from a person who runs a bike charity. He matched this bicycle for my size, but didn't really have that much info on it. I found this forum and hope some members will be able to help me. I have some pictures online that I took to ask questions on another forum. I don't have many detailed shots of the decals on the frame, but I can post more later if it would help.

I mainly want to find out more info about this bike so that I can figure out what kinds of parts I can purchase to replace. For example I thought it might be a good idea to replace the gears on the back (replace the freewheel?). I'm not very educated about bicycles so the learning process is just starting. Any help would be appreciated

Pretty much all I know right now is that it's a Falcon, has a badge that says design by Ernie Clements, is from the 1970's, and is a 10 speed.

Can't read the decal on the top tube, close to the handlebars, but the rest of the bike is a mid-tier, late '70s Falcon. (dated by the block lettering on the seat tube/brushscript decal on the downtube, decal on the headtube). Inexpensive frame because of the non-flattened wrapover for seat stays and std inexpensive fork crown.

I don't have catalog information for the late seventies bikes, but you can read a little about the maker on my page on Sheldon's site
