well i have a peugeot champion du monde..but cant tell what year and model it is..i read up on the history and still cant find a serial #. i have asked my local bike shops but never brought the actual bike in because just picking up the bike and driving it home about 30 minutes i broke a piece and found out that it was the derailer i think.. welli dont know any parts name because i am new to biking(2 weeks)..so please can someone help me.. thanks and i also posted on c&v..thanks

Peugeot never made a Champion du monde. Search the internet for Peugeot catalogs. OK, I looked at your pics. It looks like a UO8 with the crappy plastic Simplex rear derailleur. They commonly broke. Lots of threads out there with recommendations on replacements.
Spend some time on google, and you will become an expert in short order. Peugeot made many millions of the UO8s.
Not much value due to condition and rust.

ok so now i think its a UO-8 because the serial number is at the back dropout(making it a late 60's bike) but everything else doesnt match up ....any more ideas or clues for me?
