1983 3rensho Road Frame
I'm hoping to sell my 3rensho road frame, serial number A64-545. It was given as a gift, so I don't know too much about its history.
According to Andrew Muzi, it's from 1983.
Two downsides:
1. It has some rust, mainly on the right seatstay, chainstay, and fork. No major frame damage, and I believe the labels are original.
2. As far as I can tell, few – or none – of the components are original. It's currently set up as a singlespeed with a flip-flop hub (48/16 gearing). It's sporting Velocity Aero rims, but other than that most of the components that I can see are either no-name or lower-end.
54 cm Center-to-Center seat tube.
51 cm top tube.
Thoughts? Thanks!

1. Is fork original?
2. That's quite a bit of rust, that will have a huge negative impact on value. Chrome is also quite deteriorated.
3. Has anything been cut off/ground off or otherwise tampered with to make the bike SS?
4. Strip the parts and sell as a frameset. Cheap parts could actually lower the value of the bike.

Funny, just acquired this bike via Craigslist and it's as the OP noted - no original components, finish/decals in bad shape, cosmetically a mess. I'll take it apart and give it a good look this weekend but as wrk101 suggested, it'll probably be sold as a frame/fork set. I'll hang on to the Mafac Racers and Selle San Marco Regal.
Probably will be a great little racer when it gets built up again but I can't see restoring it with full Super Record, given the shape it's in.

Whoa, you just picked this bike up?
I probably know the girl you got it from... unless it's changed hands since I last saw it.
Anyway, yeah, it's definitely not in the best shape, which is a shame. It would be cool if someone were able to put some work into it.
