Novara Trionfo - Tange 1
I have this frame, which is too small for me. It's a 58cm REI Novara Trionfo with Tange 1 tubing and a Tange unicrown fork. Serial number on the BB shell is S9M5103.
Photos can be seen here: Trionfo Photos

The good: Tange 1 tubing with nice lugs, Tange unicrown fork, Tange Levin headset, black Nitto quill stem and accompanying Nitto B115 42mm bars, Shimano BB, internal rear brake cable routing, very nice black paint, and a splash of Miami Vice in the decals.
The bad: a few good paint scrapes and some rust, including the non-drive side seat stay, rear drops, and other small places pictured. The bolt holding the bars to the stem is very tight, and has not yet been treated with a loosening agent, the BB spindle turns smoothly but should probably be repacked.
Any idea who would have made this? I'm going to offer is either as shown or build it up and deal with the CL headache, but I'd be just as happy letting it go as is.
Thanks!

Around here, a local sale of a private label bike like this one would get very little. To get value out of it, you need to build it up. This assumes you have the parts you need laying around, if you have to buy parts, then you will lose $$ on it. Really depends where you live and whether you have an excess of parts. Sometimes I build up a bike just to use up some parts. Typically, 105 or lower DT stuff has minimal value, so I put them on a frameset, and someone buys it.
I have no idea who made it, but I bet REI has used a variety of manufacturers, they probably bid the work out so their suppliers vary. Does it have a made in Japan sticker? If not, I would guess one of the big Taiwan makers.
Did a quick search on the web, seems like Giant made a lot of them. That fits with my guess. Search the forum, looks like it comes up every three or four months.
