Phil Wood Hubs/Complete Wheelsets

So my friend has two 7 speed, 700c wheelsets built around Phil Wood hubs (6/7 speed, threaded/freewheel). One set is tubular, something like a Mavic GL330 pair. The other is clincher with somewhat lower quality spokes. I'm not sure if they are 32 or 36, or what the rear spacing is. The rear hubs are very similar to this photo (and the fronts match) which comes from the ebay link below:

Ballpark value of these things? Better to unlace and sell the hubsets separately? Is this one ebay sale a valid benchmark in any way?

Thanks!

I would say that if your friend were to sell them on eBay, he would be better to sell the hubs as a set on their own rather than as a complete wheelset. This gives any potential buyer more choices on what to do with the hubs plus shipping costs will be far far lower for a small box with the hubs in them as opposed to a large box for a wheelset. The lower quality spokes will definitely act as a deterrent as a buyer will have to take the wheels apart and relace them.

A price? An easy $200 for the hub sets, perhaps more depending on their condition. Lots of good photos of the details, especially of the threads, may push that up a bit more.
