Tell me about this pinarello...

Guy sent me these pictures.. I can usually tell how much something is worth, but pinarello's are not my forte, and i just simply dont know what year or what components are on it. I'm going to ask for a picture of the rear derailer.

If you got any info on what you see here, throw it out on the table for all to see.

That's some low-end componentry for a Pinarello, from the crankset to the cable clamps to the headset. Are the seatstays usually that low on a 'rello?

I think I'd stay away.

my thoughts exactly... seems really odd how low-end it is for pinarello. Guy is asking 450$ for it too, i knew it was a little high as soon as he sent the pictures, but now i dont even know if i'd pay over 130 for it.

That looks suspiciously Huffy-like; in fact, the 1" down tube and the awkward bend in the chainstays at the bottom bracket scream Huffy, as does the bottom bracket conversion from a 1-piece to 3-piece crank. Wonder where the guy who painted it got the Pinarello head tube decal.

There might be $50 or $75 worth of parts there; those were probably fairly high-end wheels about 25 or 30 years ago. Frame is valueless; I hope no prospective purchaser is fooled by the Pinarello decal.
