1980 Custom French Racer

I bought this bike in France when I didn't have a bike and wanted to ride. It is a tad too small for me, but it rides great!

The gentleman I bought the bike from (his initials are on the seat cluster and address etched into the campy seat post) built the frame and chose the parts for the build. Therefore, it is an unknown frame to most eyes. I have no idea what tubing was used, but the bike is really light, so I imagine that they're high quality.

I'd ride this bike more if it was a little bigger, and if it didn't have tubulars. Seattle area roads are just too horrible for tubulars.

My question:

How much is this bike worth?
Would I get more by parting it out and selling then by selling the bike complete?
How much would that crankset go for? And what kind of tool do i need to remove?

Thanks in advance!

CLB Brakes, it has CLB levers as well...

Why do you consider the bike as set up too small for you?

Hmm, I guess after riding my other bikes I feel a bit cramped on this bike. As I said it is only a bit small for me, and extra cm or two would be nice. I guess I can make it work in the end.

I have been back and forth on the idea of rebuilding the wheels with some clinchers using the record hubs currently on the bike, but haven't decided if it is worth it to me.

The point of this post is to help me decide how much this bike is worth, both complete and parted out, and if it is worth trying to make it work for me by building up the clincher wheels and possibly getting a longer stem, or if i should just sell.

It looks like a decently built frame, but I don't think it has a ton of value, since the builder is unknown. The parts are a mix, obviously, which doesn't help a ton, even though they're perfectly good parts. I would say the complete bike is maybe a $350-500 or so item. My hunch is that you might get a little more parted out, but not much more. I think that's how I'd go, though.
