1993 Serotta Colorado II - Lugged Steel - Ultegra 9

Thoughts? As a frameset? As built? Maybe to a Bronco's fan in Colorado?

Any more info on the bike? Wheels? Frame tubing? It looks pretty wild. I'd ride it.

Maybe to a Minnesotan?

Could you add a few particulars?

Maybe some "improved" pics.

You should buy it, that is a steal.

I have a '92 Colorado with a 9-speed Ultegra group on it, you will love this bike.

+1 - I have a 92' Colorado 2 with 9sp record and it's one of the bikes I like more.

You should also replace the fork and sell the old one to me

Thanks for all the feedback so far.

I don't have any additional pictures. The bike is for sale locally, so I'd just have to go check it out. The seller mentions that it has been 'repainted' - which could affect the value depending on who painted it and the quality of the work. Apparently the Rolfs in the pic are not included, but some Cane Creek's are. The current set-up uses an adapter for 1" threaded and a more modern stem. I kinda think it would look better with a quill and more 'silver' parts (wheels, bars, and calipers). Its parts are mostly Ultegra 9 speed: STIs, both derailleurs, cassette - but not the calipers (Rival) or crankset (Ritchey).

I think $700 is a good price for that but not bargain of year material. If it's going to be a rider, you like the parts that are on it and the paint isn't too bad it is a very good price. Probably won't make money reselling it though (unless the paintjob / frame condition are very good)

Additional info from the seller:

The fork may not be original as it lacks the signature embossed "S" -- also the paint job is pretty good, but not professionally done and not prefect. I already have a decent steel roadie with 9-speed Shimano, so I'm likely to pass at this point. Thought it looked like an absolute bargain price at first...but looking more in the 'good' to 'fair' range.

Here's the ad if others are interested. I'm sure he would ship (his ebay record is extensive and 100% positive). We've actually bought and sold a few things back and forth in the past and he is a decent guy for sure. He said he'd entertain offers on the frameset, compete bike, or as-built minus wheels.
