1998-ish Cannondale T-400 Touring Bike value
What would a fair price on this bike be?
-58 cm
-Black paint, looks good, few minor scratches
-All components work well, are adjusted, needs no work at all
-Downtube shifters
-Lower end Shimano MTB components (Alivio/Acera/Altus) and 3x7 system
-Good 700x32 tires
-CAAD2 Frame
-Threaded Headset
-Cro-Mo fork
Thanks!

You did fine. Those mid-90's T-400's had some SCARY parts. In the first week I shattered the BB and rear hub mechanism. The canti-breaks and front dérailleur would never stay in adjusted. The only parts I have left from time of purchase are the seat post and break levers.

It had actually been a really good bike for me. I paid all of $125 for it in neglected shape, put about $250 in it, commuted/rode gravel on it for a year, and then decided to sell it after updating to a cyclocross commuter with modern STI shifting and a carbon fork. I did essentially zero maintence during that year of riding other than readjusting the deraillers once and some very minor brake adjustment. The new owner seemed very happy with it. I wasn't riding it at all anymore since buying the cross bike, so out the door it went...
