Bianchi '80 - value & year
HI guys, I have picked up this Bianchi from a market fro few euros and was wandering how much is worth. Not sure about model and year but I reckon is from the beginning of the '80 (campagnolo group should be 980 which was launched in the 1980, I think) and maybe a Sprint? How much do you think is worth the bike complete OR only the frame?

to the best of my knowledge we only had one 980 equipped Bianchi here in the US around '84, but I think they were toward the lower end of the Italian models (like where the Campione de italia was for years), any idea on the frame materiel?
my guess was really cleaned up you may get 50 or so more euro than what you paid for it unless you are in Greece or Italy

By applying some of the information available in How Old Is My Bike?, you will be able to determine how old your bicycle is. And the exercise is sort of fun. Best of luck.
As for Vintage Bicycle Value, that is a whole different ball game. Many things impact the value of a bicycle, and some of them have nothing to do with the bike, itself. Things like location, size, time of year and, of course, the state of the economy will all have considerable influence. If you take the time to read through the article, it should become clearer.
Knowing how to determine Bicycle Quality will be a big help when trying to evaluate a bicycle's worth.
I hope this has been a help and good luck with your bicycle interests.
